TOURING AWARENESS/PREVENTION PROGRAMS (KNOW WAY)
KNOW WAY Real Life Drama aligns with and is clearly linked to the Health and Safety Curriculum Standards, the Safe and Drug Free Schools Standards, and the SC Guidance and Counseling Standards.
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL BULLYING PREVENTION
Our KNOW WAY Real Life Drama programs have been so well received that several teachers approached us to develop a Bullying Prevention Program for elementary schools. The show, “THE BOY WHO CRIED BULLY,” by Tom Quinn is a 60-minute production (including a question & answer session immediately following the performance). Based on the famous Aesop’s Fable (The Boy Who Cried Wolf), it is a script that teaches as well as entertains. The target audience is 3rd-4th grades. This script lays the foundation for the continued Bullying Prevention efforts at the Middle School level and provides the elementary aged audience with a specific action plan should they be confronted by a bully. It also stresses the idea that bullying comes in many forms. SCCT will also provide a “Bully Box” for each school–a confidential place for students to leave notes for teachers/administration about bullying they have seen or been affected by.
Touring Dates:
The tour dates will be posted as we receive applications--preference will be given to schools that coordinate a performance date and performance times upon application. As schools receive confirmed performances, the schedule will be posted here.

MIDDLE SCHOOL BULLYING PREVENTION
6th GRADE BULLYING PREVENTION WORKSHOPS
KNOW WAY is a theatre-based workshop in the classroom with trained adult facilitators offering factual information in an engaging format that is thought provoking and stimulates open discussion. THIS YEAR SCHEDULING IS EVEN EASIER—there is no play performance to attend, so your students will only miss one class of standard curriculum and you can schedule as fits your needs. We can bring our 50-60 minute workshop with a trained adult facilitator to a specific class or to each of your 6th grade classes. The workshops enable us to discuss what bullying is, all the different types of bullying, why bullies bully, and how each individual can help to stop bullying at your school. The workshops are thought provoking, engaging, educational and memorable for the students. The facilitator offers information, addresses the issues and offers ways to change students’ thinking and behavior with regards to bullying. We can even do a workshop for an after school club or parent/student event.
