Shakespeare Camp

Make friends with the Bard and learn how to “speak the speech.”  Makes Shakespeare fun!  Students will learn how to read iambic pentameter, decipher hidden clues in the text, unlock the secrets of imagery, and how to make sense of the spoken line.  Shakespeare is still one of the most widely produced playwrights in the world -- so learn how to approach Shakespeare with "no fear" and increase your marketability as an actor, and your enjoyment as an audience member. We'll find out why his works still matter to modern audiences, and why so many actors LOVE to perform his great roles! An informal “sharing” for family and friends will be presented on the final class day.
