BEAR STORIES! Class for K4-2nd Graders that ends in a performance!random image Casting Grades K4-2ndThis class is by audition only. A production-oriented experience, this class provides an opportunity for younger students to take on roles with more responsibility on the 2nd stage. This experience is a great introduction to the rehearsal process. Students are expected to understand stage areas, memorize lines and blocking, take direction, and work as an ensemble. The class will be comprised of two ensembles: Scene 1 and Scene 2. The short 2-act play will be rehearsed the first hour of class leaving the remainder of the class for skill building activities. Audition InfoThe audition will consist of a FREE 1-hour test-drive class in which students will be guided through introductory acting exercises that will include following directions, stage areas, vocal projection and characterization. No reading is involved for this audition. All auditionees will need to bring a new authorization / release form and a non-returnable photo. Class InfoAfter auditions we will notify all auditionees about casting. Once your child has been cast you will select either the Mon/Wed Class option or the Tues/Thurs Class option. Each class meets 8 times prior to “tech” and performances. Attendance for all class meetings and performances is mandatory. Parents will be asked to aid with costuming and, if needed, backstage crew for the performances.
