Adult Acting (AA)

Adults often ask about acting classes in the area and there are plenty of places to register for a series of classes, but sometimes adults recognize that their time (or funding) is limited and it can be difficult to commit to an entire series. SCCT provides an alternative.
For interested adults (college age and up), we offer classes FOR FREE--no commitment required. A chance for beginners to seasoned actors to get together to learn about acting, auditioning, the rehearsal process, monologue preparation and really, whatever the student has questions about or an interest in. It is taught by Betsy Bisson, SCCT's Artistic/Education Director, who maintains an email group of interested students. She sends out reminders about the class and you only have to reply about your planned attendance. She will also send out emails about volunteer opportunities with SCCT (putting up fliers, helping with load-in, etc) and if you have time, we'd welcome your help, but it isn't a requirement for class participation.
It has developed the name "AA" = Adult Acting (cause no one can give you grief for going to an AA meeting) and it typically occurs on Sunday in the late afternoon (fitting around all the other building schedules). Please simply email Betsy Bisson to be added to the email group and remember to reply if you plan to attend the class (so she doesn't end up sitting here lonely wondering if anyone is coming.)
