STORY DRAMA BIRTHDAY PARTY - Perfect for the K3-K5 crowd

Available on Fridays from 1-2:30pm
Enjoy the snack area for refreshments; then, move into our Theatre Arts Conservatory classroom for to a Story Drama Class drawing inspiration from a favorite children’s book. Fantastic for group interaction and socialization while keeping children engaged at solving the conflict presented in the literature. Great fun and great foundation work for reading. A very active hour for all the children (and parents are welcome to watch or participate too).
Your party will include:
Dramatic instruction through a story drama A gift for the birthday person as a souvenir from SCCT 5% discount coupons to SCCT’s Theatre Arts Conservatory for acting classes for each guest!
Total cost of the party:
$175 for up to 12 participating guests. (Birthday person is included at no charge) $10 for each additional participating guest.

Possible stories include:
The Paper Bag Princess by Robert Munsch: Create your own Princess costume (out of a paper bag), face the royalty inspector to prove you are a Princess, and even defeat the dragon yourself!
How I Became A Pirate by Melinda Long: Become pirates, go on an adventure to learn what pirates do and don’t do…and even find some buried treasure.
Leonardo the Terrible Monster by Mo Willems: Travel to monster school to learn how to be a great monster… and a good friend.
The Magic Rabbit by Annette LeBlanc Cate: Visit a Magic Show and meet Ray the Magician. Help Ray find his best friend, bunny, so that he can show you his final magic trick!
Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak: Follow Max to where the wild things are and have your very own wild rumpus!
The Day the Babies Crawled Away by Peggy Rathmann: Arrive at a county fair, have fun and even participate in the famous pie baking contest… but the babies are needed for the judging. Go on an adventure to find them and return them to the fair before the pies are done baking!
Elephants Cannot Dance by Mo Wellems: Join Piggy in learning a bunch different new dance moves and showing off your own talents…and discover what Elephant is best at.
